Working Lands Alliance is the big tent that convenes people who care passionately about Connecticut’s farmland and our farmers. American Farmland Trust: American Farmland Trust, founded in 1980, is the only national conservation organization dedicated to protecting farmland, promoting sound farming practices, and keeping farmers on the land.

Connecticut Department of Agriculture: Connecticut’s Department of Agriculture is the state agency that works to protect Connecticut’s agricultural resources and support the agricultural economy of CT through a variety of programs, grant opportunities, and other initiatives.

Connecticut Farm Bureau Association: CT Farm Bureau Association is considered the ‘Voice of Connecticut Agriculture’ and is a statewide member organization that is dedicated to farming and the future of Connecticut agriculture.

Connecticut Farmland Trust: CT Farmland Trust is the only statewide land trust dedicated to preserving CT’s working lands and has conserved over 2500 acres of farmland in CT since their founding in 2002.

Connecticut Land Conservation Council: Connecticut Land Conservation Council is the umbrella organization for the land conservation community in CT, and focuses on increasing the pace, quality, and scale of land conservation in CT.

Connecticut State Grange: The Connecticut State Grange consists of over 50 local chapters supporting programs of service, families, agriculture, legislation and more meeting the needs of local rural, suburban and urban communities.

CT Forest & Park Association: CT Forest & Park Association has been working since 1895 to protect Connecticut’s forests, parks, walking trails and open spaces for future generations.

CT NOFA: CT NOFA (Northeast Organic Farming Association of Connecticut) is the first and leading grassroots organization advocating for local and organic food, farming, gardening and land care in Connecticut.

End Hunger CT!: End Hunger CT! is a member organization that seeks to eliminate hunger in the state through legislative and administrative advocacy, education and outreach.

Farm Credit East: Farm Credit East is the specialized lender that focuses specifically on serving the agricultural industry in the Northeast.

UConn Extension: UConn Extension connects UConn research to real life for CT communities, citizens and businesses and provides outreach in areas such as economic viability, business and industry, community development, agriculture and natural resources.

USDA – NRCS: The Natural Resources Conservation Service in CT provides financial assistance to protect agricultural resources and directly supports landowners, state and local governments, and others through technical assistance programs that seek to restore and enhance the landscape.

Land for Good: is a New England nonprofit specializing in farm access, tenure and transfer. LFG assists farm seekers, transitioning farmers, farmland owners and communities to get more farmers more securely on more land in our region and beyond.

Northwest Connecticut Land Conservancy is a nonprofit, regional conservation organization working with the communities of Litchfield and northern Fairfield Counties to safeguard natural and working lands, public recreation areas, and drinking water resources forever. Founded in 1965, NCLC is the largest land trust in Connecticut, protecting 12,500 acres (and growing) of vast, connected natural areas. NCLC’s conserved lands include 21 public hiking preserves, 35 working farms, and over 3,000 acres of habitat for rare and endangered species.

The New CT Farmer Alliance: The New CT Farmer Alliance is a state wide network of farmers and growers. By bringing young, new and emerging farmers together it is our intent to identify and help develop support systems to nurture a successful and diverse agricultural landscape for our state.
